Can I bring my partner, friend or colleague as a guest?
Yes, you can bring your partner, friend or colleague as a guest to the social functions. The cost of a guest ticket is:

Welcome Reception on Wednesday 16 October – AU$105.00 incl GST

Gala Dinner on Thursday 17 October – AU$180.00 incl GST
If your partner, friend or colleague is only attending a social function as your guest, they can be added to your registration. You will be prompted to add additional guest tickets when you get to this page of the registration process.
If your partner, friend or colleague would like to attend Conference Sessions, they must register separately for their own conference ticket.
Can I attend just one day?
Yes, there are Thursday Pass or Friday Pass options available for those attending in-person. For details please see here.
Can I register a team of more than 10 people?
Yes you can. Team package discounts are available if you register for 10+ or 20+ tickets together. For more information on team packages please click here.
I’ve changed my mind about which sessions I want to attend. How do I update my registration information?
To update your session choices please click the link that came with your confirmation email or send an email to nationalconference@api.org.au. Please note that sessions have limited seating so it is not guaranteed that there will be space available in your new session.
When does registration close?
Registrations are now closed. Please contact us at nationalconference@api.org.au to enquiry about new registrations.
I can no longer attend. Can I get a refund or transfer my ticket?
Cancellations received in writing to nationalconference@api.org.au 3 weeks prior to the commencement of the event will receive a full refund less an administrative fee of 25% of the ticket type in your order. Cancellations received after this date will not be entitled to a refund. Team packages are transferable but non-refundable.
If you can no longer attend your ticket can be transferred to a different person. You must let us know of any transfers in writing by emailing nationalconference@api.org.au prior to the event. Please note that if any transfers are received after Tuesday 1 October 2024 the venue may not be able to accommodate any special or dietary requirements.

FUNCTIONS
What social functions are taking place?
There will be two social functions held during the National Property Conference. These are:

Welcome Reception on Wednesday 16 October, 6:30pm to 8:30pm Drinks and Canapés

Gala Dinner on Thursday 17 October, 6:45pm Pre-Dinner Drinks followed by 7:00pm to 10:00pm Three-Course Dinner, EIPA Awards Ceremony and Entertainment.
Can I attend just the Gala Dinner, and not the whole conference?

Yes you can! To purchase a ticket to the Welcome Reception or Gala Dinner, without the Conference, please use the Social Function Only Registration.
Discounts are available on table bookings. To purchase tables and access the discount, please contact nationalconference@api.org.au. You do not need to know all the names of your guests to book a table - this can be updated later.​
Will the Gala Dinner have allocated seating?
The Gala Dinner will not have allocated seating this year, unless it is part of a partner package, or specifically requested as part of a team package.
If you would like to book an allocated group table at the Gala Dinner for your team or organisation, please contact nationalconference@api.org.au

What meals are provided as part of my Full Conference Pass?
A Full Conference Pass includes the following meals as part of your ticket:

I have special dietary requirements
or allergies. Will you be able to cater for me?
Yes, all registrations received up until 11:59pm on Tuesday 1 Oct 2024 will be included in the catering order to the venue.
If you have severe allergies or special dietary requirements and you register after this date, please note that the venue(s) may not be able to cater for you due to a minimum time required for us to inform them.

Can partners and exhibitors attend social functions?
Yes, certainly. Most of our Partner and Exhibitor packages include a ticket, or tickets, to the Welcome Reception and Gala Dinner. If your package does not include social function tickets, these can be purchased separately.
STUDENT
VOLUNTEERING
Am I eligible to apply for the Student Volunteer Program?
To be eligible to apply for the Student Volunteer Program, applicants must:

Be over 18 years old

Be a student member of Australian Property Institute

Be a current student enrolled in an Australian university
What will I receive if I am successful?

A complimentary full registration to the National Property Conference with some designated free time to explore the conference as a delegate
-
A ticket to the Welcome Reception and Gala Dinner

Meals including lunch on Wednesday; breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and three-course dinner on Thursday; and breakfast, morning tea and lunch on Friday

The opportunity to network with delegates working in the property industry

What are the benefits of joining the Student Volunteer Program?
Student volunteers will have the opportunity to gain exposure to numerous prominent companies within the property sector.
​
Volunteers will also be scheduled time to attend some sessions before or after their shift and are invited to attend the Welcome Reception and Gala Dinner social events.
​
How many hours will volunteers be expected to work?
On average successful applicants will be allocated one shift per day. Each shift will last for up to 4-5 hours and volunteers will receive rest breaks and meals. Volunteers will not be permitted to attend sessions during their shift, however they will be scheduled some time to attend the conference as a delegate.
What if I am not available for the
entire event?
Applications will still be considered even if an applicant is not available for the entire duration of the event, however, it is preferable for students to be available for most, if not all of the conference for logistical purposes.
Please ensure you list your availability as accurately as possible on your application form.
What will shifts involve?
Volunteer roles can include but are not limited to assisting with: registration desk, conference bag packing, admin duties, API booth, session counting, ushering, speaker assistance and roving microphones in sessions.
Do I need to pay for my own travel and accommodation?
Yes, all successful volunteers will need to arrange and pay for their own travel and accommodation. If you need assistance with suitable accommodation options please let us know after receiving your confirmation email.

GENERAL QUESTIONS
I’m an API member. How many CPD points will I get for attending?

Thursday 17 Oct – 6 points

Total points for full attendance – 10 points
All CPD points are Structured Property points.
All attendees must have their badge scanned on entry on both Thursday and Friday in order to receive CPD points.
Will there be child care facilities on site?

There are no arrangements for child care during the Conference. We recommend discussing these services with your accommodation provider.
I'm bringing a partner or guest to the Gold Coast. What activities can they do while I'm at the Conference?
Gold Coast is a coastal holiday destination with seven theme parks, 40 championship golf courses, more than 600 restaurants and an array of activities for your partner or guests to enjoy. Visit Destination Gold Coast for ideas and activities.
